Welcome to the setup guide for the Welcome Message feature of Sentinel Bot AI. This feature enhances the entry experience for new members of your Telegram community by greeting them with a customized message. Follow these steps to activate and manage the Welcome Message feature effectively.
Step 1: Add Sentinel Bot as Admin
To begin, add Sentinel Bot AI (@sentinelAI_Bot) to your Telegram group.
Ensure that Sentinel Bot AI is granted admin permissions. This enables the bot to access necessary group functionalities, including the ability to post welcome messages.
Step 2: Ensure Chat History Is Visible
Verify that chat history is enabled in your group's settings. This setting is important as it allows the bot to operate seamlessly and ensures that the welcome messages are visible to all members, including those who join after the message is sent.
Step 3: Activate the Welcome Message
In your Telegram group, send the command /setup@sentinelAI_Bot. This command will open the setup menu.
From the setup menu, select 'Welcome Message.' Ensure that a tick appears next to this option, indicating that it is active. If there is a warning sign, it indicates that the feature is inactive, and you will need to activate it.
Step 4: Monitoring and Adjustments
Once activated, the Welcome Message feature will automatically greet new members joining your group.
Follow these instructions to set up customizable welcome messages for Sentinel Bot in your Telegram chat:
Upload an Image or GIF:
Open your Telegram chat.
Upload an image or GIF that you want to use as part of your welcome message.
Add Your Caption and Buttons:
Before sending the image or GIF, use the caption field to type your welcome message and add any buttons you want.
Format for buttons:
Send the Message:
Once your caption and buttons are complete, send the message to the chat.
Save the Welcome Message:
After sending the message, respond with the command:
This will save the welcome message.
Check Your Welcome Message:
To verify that your welcome message is set correctly, use the command:
